Some weeks ago, I trade with my girlfriend a brand new Asus eeepc 1005P for my old ibook 12" g4. Why? one word: Windows
I then started to configure the ibook to become my laboratory buddy and, since is a ppc and not an intel, no virtualization was possible. Therefore, I needed to use fink to compile some linux software.
For my little ibook, compile the latest gcc was not a piece of cake: it took 10 hours to have the job done. Meanwhile, I took this photo of the gcc compiling setup, made hoping to avoid fusions :)
The fan was oriented directly on the keyboard and, below the computer, I had this Belkin cooling stand for laptops.
Proudly, I was able to maintain the CPU/GPU/HD/Memory temperatures so low that the ibook fan never went for a spin. Gh!
